Waiting For A Stranger is a 1950's drama, that visually takes on the style of a modern noir. In a scope rarely seen in short films, we aim to re-create the era, the music, and the post war tension with sexuality and style.

We have three separate sections that require a large number of extras, and in each scene, you will be dressed in full 1950s costumes and make-up. We will have a photographer on hand to capture you in all your 50's glory, and we will be happy to send you all the photos. For more information on theme, look, and crew please visit the film's website at www.waitingforastranger.com.

FRENCH PARTY
Sunday Nov. 28th, 15.00-22.00. INT
A party full of singing, drinking, and smoking. The barmaid of the French Cafe is having a Saturday night party, and if you speak French, now is the time to show it off, though it's not necessary. Musicians will be in the middle of the crowd singing and playing with you, part of one of the only French bands in London who still play the classics, check them out online at: www.fleurdeparis.co.uk. Should be a very fun shoot, including lots of close ups.
Ethnicity: White / Caucasian

MURDER SCENE
Date & Time: Monday Nov. 29th, 11.30-16.30
When a dead body is discovered on the streets of this small English town, everyone comes out for the event. The streets will be crowded with classic 50's cars and while you're in costume, you'll feel like you're back in time. Some speaking lines available and as we pass through the crowd, almost everyone will have a close-up. All exterior shoot, with off site production base to warm up and chow down.
Ethnicity: White / Caucasian

FACTORY WORKERS
Age: 35 - 60
Date & Time: Sat Nov. 29th (10.00-22.00) & Sun Nov. 29th (15.00-22.00).
At the end of every workday, 5 French workers from the factory in town congregate in their favourite, and only French bar in town, which acts as a sort of unofficial embassy. They chat over a drink with the bar regular and the barmaid, and add an abundance of atmosphere to this world. On Sun Nov. 28th, these workers will change out of their work clothes for a monthly party to celebrate payday. Shots will include many close-ups and improvised lines in French. All interior shoot. French is preferred but not required.
