The Beck Theatre is looking for a dog to play the role of Toto

THIS LISTING HAS EXPIRED - YOU CAN NO LONGER APPLY!
The Beck Theatre is looking for a dog to play the role of Toto in our production of The Wizard of Oz which will run Thursday 27 - Saturday 29 August 2009.

Audition date:
Tuesday 16 June 2009 registration from 4.30pm. Auditions 5.00pm - 7.00pm

The dog in the 1939 classic movie starring Judy Garland was a Cairn Terrier. The Beck is seeking a dog with a similar look but it need not necessarily be a purebred Cairn. If you have a small-to-medium-sized dog with a similar look and attitude they are welcome to audition for the role.

Dogs should be obedience trained, with a preference given to those that also have some trick and/or agility training and learn quickly and easily.

The dog must be comfortable working with strangers and around people surrounded by lots of noise, activity and distractions. For the audition please be prepared to introduce your dog to the panel and have him/her do any tricks as requested.

This audition is an open event so there is likely to be others watching your dog on stage.
The media may also be present to film or take photos of your dog.
