Acting, Singing,, Dancing, Hockey, Netball, Swimming, Athletics, Cycling, Gcse pass in German and Tennis.

I have had singing lessons for three years and in this time I have performed in Blackpool, Lytham and Fleetwood festivals. In the last Lytham festival I received second place in the sacred solo class where I sang "Oh for the wings of a dove" and third place in the songs from the show class where I sang "Think of me" from phantom of the opera. I am currently on grade five. I have recently won the St.Cecilia trophy for girls aged 16 and over in the own choice department at Fleetwood festival singing the Vaughan Williams classic “Orpheus with his lute”

I have had drama lessons for nearly six years. I am currently working towards my bronze medal in the LAMDA examinations and I am soon to be taking a musical theatre exam also at bronze medal.

Last year I played the role of Cinderella in the pantomime "Cinderella”. This was at The Bond Hotel in Blackpool. We did the pantomime to raise money so that the hotel could improve its facilities and be made bigger to cater for the people with disabilities who go there for there holidays. I also helped with the production and script. This has helped me to be able to work with all audiences no matter what there needs are and it also made feel very positive as I know that I am able to give the attention of audiences with a low attention span.

I played Mrs Johnstone in Blood Brothers last May, this also gave me the opportunity to develop a different accent. This was the first time that I have portrayed an older character and I believe I did this well.

I have also played the title role in "Snow White" when I was in year six at Lytham Hall Park, this was my first main part and I feel it improved my confidence on stage and I also learnt how to perform and act the songs to the audience. Last year I played the gospel girl “Crystal” in “Little shop of Horrors”. This helped me to be able to perfect difficult harmonies and to be able to do an American accent.

I am a member of Lata (Lytham academy of theatrical arts) and have been there for three years. We do acting, singing and dancing and then perform a big musical and the end of the term at the Lowther pavilion. In my first show with Lata, which was Oliver, I played the Milkmaid. I have also performed in the chorus for both “Meet me in St.Louis” and “Seussical the musical”

I have always been in the choirs at school and I sang in a big concert at the ice rink with my last school choir. I am also a member of St.Cuthbert's choir and I have sung many solos for weddings and funerals as well as the first verse in "One in royals David's city" Last Christmas.

I went to rainbow dance studios from the age of 2-14. I did my grade 4 modern exam and my grade 5 ballet exam. I also performed in a pantomime each year.

Last summer I went to the "West End Stage" summer school. We did a week of acting singing and dancing and we were taught by some of the West end professionals. At the end of the week we performed a show case at "Her Majesty's theatre" I sang the female solo in "seasons of love" from the musical Rent. For the last three summers I have helped at a drama workshop for younger children, which have improved my leadership skills and also have helped me work with younger children.

I did an acting/musical theatre summer school each year from the age of 8- 15 and in the workshops we rehearsed a show and then performed it at the end of the week. I played “Molly” in the musical Annie, “Sandy” in Grease, “Marry Lennox” in the secret garden and “Annie” in Annie.

Recently I played Maureen in the comedy “Stags and Hens” for my GCSE drama coursework, this helped me to improve my comic timing and play a character completely different to me. I am soon to play Mrs.Bennet in pride and prejudice. I believe that this will be a fun as well as challenging part, I am currently enjoying the rehearsals and I feel that my stage presence and ability to play a huge “ characture” is progressing a lot.

I am comfortable with accents such as Scouse, well spoken, posh, Lancashire, Cockney and American but I find that accents come quite easily and if a part needed and accent which I had not yet learnt I would be able to do this well. I also have a very good memory which helps a great deal with learning scripts and songs. I took drama for GCSE and I achieved an A. I am also taking theatre studies for A level as well as English Language, English Literature and Sociology
:
I am soon to be doing two student films. One is named “Mad Mistakes” where I am playing the main character Lea. This film is about finding yourself and becoming a good person. I like this part as I get to portray different emotions as the character changes and progresses. The other student film is named “Unexpected” where I play the main part Lily who is the victim of a boy with de Clerambault’s syndrome. I also like this part as I get to show vulnerability. I have also been asked to help direct some of the scenes that I am not in which is a great privilege. These films also help me to work in front of a camera instead of a live audience.

I have recently finished a modeling workshop with the “Diva Academy” In this workshop we learnt how to pose in front of the camera and how to do different types of make-up and hair styles from natural to fashion. We also learnt about the history of fashion and how to do a basic catwalk. At the end of this session we had a photo shoot with a professional photographer named Howard Barton. I really enjoyed this experience.

I am now in further education at Kind Edward’s and Queen Mary’s sixth form. I also have a job at New Look in St.annes which I feel has increased my confidence as we have to make conversation with the customers and it has also given me more insight into the world of fashion.
