I don't want my profile being listed on Google!
By default, we do not hide any of our content from search engines such as Google - Why would we? We're trying to get you as much exposure as we can in the hope that it lands you an audition for some film or television work!
Although, we understand that sometimes this is not exactly convenient. You might not want your FilmExtras profile showing up when friends, family, co-workers or future employers run a search on your name.
For those of you that wish to prevent your profile from showing up in search results on sites such as Google we have added a feature that helps you out. To switch this feature on, edit your master account settings and select Yes next to the option Hide from Search Engines.
If your profile has already been picked up by search engines, it could take a while for it to be removed from their database as we have to wait our turn for the search engine to come back to FilmExtras and notice that you don't want to be in their database. If you have an urgent requirement for your profile to be removed from Google, please contact us and we will see what we can do to speed up the process.
Once you have been successfully been removed from the Google database, you will have to wait 90 days should you change your mind and wish to be included again.
